Prevents excessive heat damage
Hair styling requires breaking and rebonding hydrogen bonds. The Dyson Airwrap styles hair using a mechanism that holds the shape of wet hair as it dries, preventing excessive heat damage.
Heat damage is irreversible
Conventional styler uses excessive heat to cut the hydrogen bonds inside the hair and changes the shape which can damage the hair. Damaged hair looks dull.
Style with air, not extreme heat
Utilising the broken hydrogen bonds in wet hair, the Dyson Airwrap dries and styles hair using the Coanda effect.
Temperature regulation
Excessive heat damage is prevented by measuring the air temperature at least 40 times per second and controlling it so that it does not exceed 150°C.
